| The BAV Summer Soirée on 20th June was once again a wonderful success. Guests were warmly welcomed from 4pm with a refreshing glass of bubbly or Pimms at the beautiful home of Stephane and Joanna. It was such a gorgeous backdrop on a glorious summer's day and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting from the moment everyone arrived. A huge thank you goes to the team who erected the impressive marquee in the garden, providing much-appreciated shade throughout the afternoon and evening. The event brought together people of many different nationalities, creating the perfect opportunity to mingle, reconnect with familiar faces and make new friends. Throughout the evening, the talented Olena provided a delightful musical accompagnement, adding to the warm and convivial atmosphere as guests enjoyed their meal. The delicious selection of hot and cold dishes, expertly prepared by Cuisine du Monde Traiteur, was simple yet full of flavour. We enjoyed chicken korma, chilli con carne and fresh salads all prepared in front of us. Wine, beer, prosecco and soft drinks flowed freely, ensuring everyone was well hydrated and looked after. It was a truly enjoyable evening filled with great conversation, laughter and community spirit. Judging by the smiles all around, everyone had a wonderful time, and it was another memorable event that reflected the welcoming and friendly spirit of the BAV. Last but not least, a very heartfelt thank you to our hosts, the volunteers and everyone who helped make the evening such a resounding success. We are already looking forward to the next gathering! |
